Young Scholars Initiative, South Asia, ran a very engaging Webinar series on Women’s Work in South Asia. Inspired by Aneesha Chitgupi’s amazing cartoon illustration of the series I have posted these links. The series started with stalwart Economist Professor Jayati Ghosh speaking on Women’s Employment in South Asia on May 2, 2021.
It was an honour to be invited to speak at this forum. Here is the link to my talk on Female Informal Workforce amid COVID-19 held on May 18, 2021. It was an informal forum. It was a joy to converse with young scholars interested in the area. The full recording here brings up a lot of issues that were of concern to these young scholars. I am sure they will carry the baton forward and continue path breaking research in the area of Women’s Work.
